Double x’s means no A

Went to see Graffiti 6 last night at a real hip club, but before they played they had two bands jive up the crowd. And no doubt they did. A Silent Film and The Hundred Days both had a rockish, indish feel to them, but I would have to say that The Hundred Days wins my vote. They just get the craze started with their punkish sound and sexy lyrics “I wanna sex you”! Great band and locals! Moving on though, here’s your dosage of music for the day. PS: I’m still trying to find a new music storage to play audio on wordpress.

1. Safe and Sound – Capital Cities

The DJ last night was mixing in between bands and played a great version of this song that I can’t quite find nonetheless the original is still a beaut. However, my music detecting skills failed last night in knowing the artist who did this song. Capital Cities, thanks.

2. Dale Shake ft Do Proper YMTK – Starting Six
Here’s a rap gem. Three rappers on top of a sped up and more soulful version of Oasis’s “Wonderwall”. I know right. That sounds like ice cream cake on a hot day: gotta have it right now.

3. Everything To Me – Lips

A experimental tune with soft female vocals. If you have checked out our previous post and seen the song “Ungirthed” by Purity Ring and dug it then for sure you’ll like this chill tune.

4. The Bay – Metronomy

A first a chilling sound and then bam: indie pop at it’s finest. I really love the simplicity and colors used for the video on top of the great lyrics.

5. Sex U – The Hundred Days
And here’s the song The Hundred Days played to top off the night last night. They came down into the crowd right into the middle…mind you it was where I was…and started jamming the night away. I touched the lead singers shoulder and he smiled at me and hit a chord of ecstasy. Great great show The Hundred Days.

Much love, A
